The final match of the 2025 "Governor's Cup" Jiangsu Youth Campus Football League (Primary School Boys Group B) kicked off at the Rudong County Sports Center on June 14.
After an intense showdown, Nanjing Youfu West Street Primary School, Pukou Campus, clinched the championship title with a 2-1 victory over Yancheng Riyue Road Primary School.
As one of the premier youth football competitions in Jiangsu, the league comprises eight categories, each hosted across a different region. The Primary School Boys Group B division brought together 24 teams. Throughout 76 contested matches, the top eight teams were determined, along with individual awards, including Best Player and Top Scorer.
This marks the third time Rudong has hosted an event in the "Governor's Cup" series. In recent years, Rudong has strengthened the integration of sports and education by refining its sports curriculum and incorporating football into daily teaching. Currently, 30 schools in Rudong are recognized as national youth campus football model schools, and two-thirds of local schools have adopted football as a key specialty program.
Rudong has also strengthened collaboration with sports authorities and professional clubs, forming a structured talent development pathway. This system has nurtured numerous promising players, injecting fresh energy into both provincial and national football development.
